Carl B. Boyer Memorial Prize in the History of Science

The Carl B. Boyer Memorial Prize in the History of Science awards $7,000 annually to an undergraduate for the best essay on any topic in the history of science or mathematics as judged by a faculty committee. To be considered, students must complete submit an online application. Prize essays are normally no more than 12,000 words (approximately 40 pages of double-spaced typescript) in length and must be typed in standard double-spaced format, properly paginated and each page clearly marked with the candidate's name. Science or mathematics may be taken to include medical sciences and technology where related to scientific development.
