CARES Response Team
The Response Team members will work collaboratively to provide an initial response, empathetic support, and a smooth transition to the appropriate campus partners for additional follow-up when warranted. This will, of course, include swift referral of emergencies to the appropriate entities working closely with Community Safety.

The CARES Response team provides initial intervention to campus requests for assistance. The Response Team works collaboratively with Community Safety, Preparedness, Nondiscrimination and Title IX, as well as other campus partners in support of an effective response for all involved, and a smooth transition for follow-up, where applicable.

Barnard ID
Barnard students, faculty, staff and affiliates are issued a Barnard College ID that provides campus building access and other campus privileges. Carry your ID at all times while on campus.
If your ID card is lost or stolen, you can get more information regarding replacement by completing this form. Barnard ID cards are issued through the Columbia ID Center, find additional information about replacement of damaged IDs on the ID Center webpage. Barnard College ID Holders and Columbia University ID Holders with electronic swipe access questions or concerns can submit requests by visiting this webpage.
Awareness is an essential element of preparedness. We provide a Mobile Escort Service available to the entire college community.
